Members make an initial investment of $10,000 per adult member. This was the amount each of the original
members contributed toward the purchase of the farm.This amount is refundable to departing members, but the Coop may limit repayments to no more than $100 a month on the unpaid balance, including
interest and may delay repaying principal until a replacement member has joined. Please read the Bylaws for the exact conditions of refundability.
Members make a monthly contribution to Zephyr's
expenses. This is set annually during Coop budget discussions and is currently $61/month per member, though in years past it has been over $100.
There are other charges paid by those living at Zephyr
including charges for trash/recycling and snow ploughing, averaging from $10 to $35/month per household depending on the number of adults & kids.
